Your Emergency Services, Your Say
Your views matter and can help shape how essential public services in York and North Yorkshire are delivered now and in the future.
David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, is inviting residents and businesses to take part in a short survey on the performance of North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
This is your chance to share your experience, perceptions and ideas for improvement.
Why your feedback matters
Mayor David Skaith and Deputy Mayor Jo Coles are responsible for holding to account North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
To make sure these essential services meet your needs, the Mayor needs to understand:
- How confident you feel in these services.
- How easy they are to contact.
- What they’re doing well, and where you feel they could improve.
Your responses will help prioritise improvements and make decisions that reflect what really matters to you.
Who can take part
The survey is open to:
- Anyone who lives or works in York and North Yorkshire
- Visitors and family members who have had contact with police or fire and rescue services
Whether you’ve had recent contact or are sharing your views based on your wider perceptions, your voice counts.
What we’ll ask you
The survey includes short questions about:
- Your contact with police, and fire and rescue services
- Your level of confidence in each service
- Your views on service performance
The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete
The survey is open from Monday 23 February and will close on Friday 10 April.
You can download the survey by clicking here.
