York & North Yorkshire Careers Hub
The York & North Yorkshire Careers Hub brings together schools, colleges, employers, and apprenticeship providers. The goal is to make it easier for schools and colleges to improve how they prepare young people for their next steps.

Background
Our Careers Hub is one of 44 in England. This network is overseen by The Careers & Enterprise Company, the national body for careers education in England.
The York & North Yorkshire Careers Hub supports the area’s 77 secondary, post-16, further education colleges and special education needs and alternative learning institutes. That amounts to around 49,000 learners aged 11 to 19.
The offer to schools and colleges includes one-to-one support, targeted projects, signposting and knowledge sharing and funded Careers Leader training. The team are supported by 77 Enterprise Advisers – enough for every school and college. These business volunteers share their expert insight, helping schools and colleges with their careers planning.
The Hub is also set to start working with around 150 local primary schools.
Funding
The Hub had an anticipated funding allocation of just over £390,000 in 2023 to 2024. This included staffing costs, delivery of national pilots at a local level, and 4 projects working with schools.
